Lahoo Youth Leadership Program

Goal of the Youth Leadership Program

  1. Develop skills to become future community leaders, while building real world skills and pushing forward the boundaries of charity
  2. Achieve personal growth through workshops, volunteering, fundraising, and building communications skills.
  3. Inspire youth to care for the less-fortunate and take action to spark change within their own neighbourhoods and the community
  4. Learn public speaking skills, fundraising tools, and all about teamwork skills.
  5. Encourage youth to reach out and share impactful stories.

Qualification

  1. Youth aged 12-18.
  2. Youth Ambassador Society members are asked to attend minimum of two volunteer opportunities and one sport activity.
  3. Ambassadors are encouraged to fundraise a minimum of $500 throughout the duration of the program in support of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.

Recognition

  1. Receive a Letter of Achievement
  2. Receive tracked volunteer hours
  3. Tax receipts for donations in support of fundraising efforts
  4. Attend the Award and Recognition reception
